A Message from Our Board Chair
After 28 years of leadership, Ilise Zimmerman plans to retire from her position as the President and CEO of the Partnership. Ilise will remain in her position through the end of this year. On behalf of our Board of Trustees, I want to publicly thank Ilise for her energy, passion, and integrity.
Ilise is the Founding Director of the Partnership. When she was recruited as a consultant in 1992, her job was to design the blueprint for a new organization dedicated to improving obstetric and pediatric outcomes. Impressed by her work, Ilise was offered the position of Executive Director of the Consortium.
Over the past 28 years, Ilise has steered the organization through three mergers. She has expanded the variety of services offered to the residents of the eight northern-most counties. Ilise has been an outspoken advocate for equitable and compassionate patient care. Under her direction, the Partnership has grown from a small non-profit to a public health leader, respected locally, state-wide, and nationally.
The Partnership will formally honor Ilise’s outstanding efforts at “A Night of Inspiration” – a virtual Gala – on Thursday, November 12. I hope you will join me for this evening of recognition, celebration, and illustration of our mission.
Ilise shared the news of her retirement with me earlier this year. Along with the other Board Officers, I extended my term to ensure a smooth transition for the new CEO. Our Executive Search Committee is working diligently to identify a successor who can lead the Partnership into the future. We could not achieve our goals without your support. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Michael Lamacchia, MD
Chair, Board of Trustees
